Change your perspective... Even in loss, there is gain
Success

Gain in Loss

“Where there is hardship there is also ease”

Therein lies a hidden truth.

In our time of difficulty, we may see only the downside. However, there is an upside, and we are simultaneously on this path. With each step down, we may be going up. This is representative of humility. Whereas the inverse is representative of arrogance, with each step up, we may be going down.

The intersection of the two slopes is where our seen realm meets our unseen realm. At our lowest point we can find balance, where there is neither loss nor gain. Here, we can find an ideal for humility and thereby an ideal for non-arrogance.

When we are going down, changing our perspective can be difficult. We realise the benefits much later. How could we foresee this, when we cannot see beyond the intersection of the seen and unseen realms.

If all was seen at our initial step, then there would be no pursuit into the unknown. It is through our pursuit of the unseen, that we derive hope, something to strive for, something to reach for.

Each failure is a test, an opportunity for us to get back up and get going again.
Without failure, we cannot know success, nor appreciate its value.
After a thousand failures, our success shall taste a thousand times better.
Therefore, be not afraid to fail a thousand times, so that you may cherish each success.

Rather, be afraid to succeed a thousand times, as this can be your ultimate loss.
Success in this life can be our downfall in the hereafter, whereas struggle in this life can be our rise.

This is the duality of loss and gain where a loss can be a gain, and a gain can be a loss.
