Shadows in a cave
From our unconscious origin, our conscious cave is carved. Our present reality, only a chamber within a pyramidic maze. Within this chamber, burns our conscious light. Beyond this light, our shadows, realms of darkness. Within this darkness, a great many regions undiscovered. Within these unconscious realms, lights all, the Eternal Light. Doors closed to this light, await us for their opening.
Three figures stand by the fire, illuminated, representing one’s conscious regions of thoughts, feelings and sense-perceptions. Conscious, as one is aware of these at any given time. A reality that is known, yet only a subset of one’s totality. Totality represented by all that is real and unreal. Seen and unseen.
Beneath, and all around our conscious realm, lays our unconscious realm. Here, lie shadows of all that is presently conscious and all that was. Here, exists all that is forgotten, those regrets, repressions, dissociations, and contaminants tainting our ideal state. Here, reside our unconscious regions of thoughts, feelings and sense-perceptions. Whilst not obvious in our seen realm, they are still ever-present and active within our unseen realm.
One’s reality is interwoven with all that is unreal. Together, one’s reality and unreality form a whole, one’s existence. One cannot exist without the unseen, nor without the seen. Integration and alignment of realms seen and unseen brings one closer to an ideal state, that of unity, of wholeness.
To become whole, one must become aware of their conscious and unconscious sense-perceptions, feelings and thoughts. One must know their foundations. One must make sense of their conscious and unconscious states, seek their source, re-align their foundation, and give rise to new flows. One must identify all the masks they wear. One must meet their different forms, configurations, and shadows. One must realise these shadows can be altered, by altering the form which casts them.
Each of us has a potential undiscovered, that is yet to be found, yet to be tapped into. Through self-discovery one merely taps into a potential that already is, that was meant to be, in this time and space, a causality preordained.

REGRETS
We all have them , some have been suppressed , others linger in our thoughts
There is a book , written by a nurse , who spent years tending patients in palliative care titled The Top Five Regrets of the Dying by Bronnie Ware.
Here is the list
1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
2 I wish I hadn’t worked so hard
3 I wish I”d had the courage to express my feelings
4 I wish I had stayed in touch with ny friends
5 I wish I had let myself be happier.
I suppose there are endless and varied lists .
Personally , I have managed my regrets , not by justifying errors , but by admitting one’s frailty and guilt .
I still harbour regret and shame for events in my business and private lives instead of supression , none of which thankfully were not of a serious nature.
Suppression leads to torment in late years as witnessed by the palliative care nurse.
